Instead of watching the browns lose again on Sunday i went on a ridiculas fast boat. My brother costumers are very well of and called on Saturday night to go boating. I was thinking all right a nice little ride over to the island have somee beers and come back. They show up with a 48 foot monster boat that is used in races, with two race engine motors. Now the guy running the thing is your average truck driver even down to what he looks like, his wife the brains of the operatiion is an exremely atractive 46 year with fake boobis and all. We start out doing anice little 70 miles an hour and every once in a while the boat would hit a couple of waves completely jump out of the water causing my brother and i to clamp down on the bar we were holding on to. After about an 45 minute ride to Sandusky he decided to open it up and soon we were flying around on water at 103 miles per hour. in sane i tell you in sane, lunch was nice because these great people picked up the tab. At the end of the trip the guy said that he still had his race boat and it can reach 140 on open water and it's more like driving an airplane than a boat, and all i can add to the conversation is "oh". all in all a great day on good old lake erie even though the browns lost 20-12. there is nothing better than rich people with big toys who like to share and aren't jackasses or bitches. These people where genuinely nice people.

To the list and since this is my favorite time of the start of basketball the season i would list the 9 reasons the nba is the best basketball on the planet

1)it sperartes the pretenders from the contenders ie the stephon marbary's(the star who thinks his to good) from the Steve Nash's(the star that gets the most out of his ability), ie the stephen jackson(the role player who doesn't understand he's replaceable from BIg shot Rob(the ulitmate role player) and it does this over a career someone like marbary would always be consider better than nash if you just looked at stats becuase most people don't get how to really play basketball or construct a winning team but in the nba it unfolds right there

2)you get to wath allen iverson who has surpased isiah thomas as the besst under 6'0 player ever, i men the guys is 180 pounds mayb and he's still dropping 30 a night on everyone. the guy went from thug to loveable in .8 seconds unbelieveable i root for him every time i watch him play except against the knicks and the cavs. this happens to so many players shaq went from bully to lovable becuase of Kobe, it happens in all sports(t.o.) so maybe this a reason to watch all sports.

3)It's shows off the best athletes in the world's pure athletism, while one can't win on just pure athleticism a la Darius miles but from a pure jumping, running and athletic stand point the best

4)but there's always room for guys who most of us think we could beat in our Y league becuase they appear to be slow and not very good but some how find a way to out play the faster guy more athletic guy, Luke walton being a great example and example from my pass, Mark Price, John Stockon, and the ultimate Larry bird. Show me a slow out smart guy in the nfl other than quarterback. baseball has plenty david wells cc sabthia but i don't think baseball uses that much athleticism

5)Players who weakness's get covered up in college get exposed in the pros Tranjon Langdon, Christain Latner, Ron mercer, Micheal Olikandi not saying i'm better than they are but it's too easy in college to be very good even at the d-1 level. Plus with all the coverage they get from guys like Dicky V screaming how great they are were in the NBA that's kind of talk is only reserved for a few

6)You get to hear Charles Barkley absolutely demolish someone preformance which is alwasy funny cause i'm pretty sure he's never one the big one. Meaing it's the only sport where the fans can actually get envovled in the game with out getting arrested like reggie miller give spike lee the choke sign, jack nichlos stairing down a ref, or ron artest run into the stands,(bad example) fan and teams interacting the nba is fantastic.

7)just like in football you have to win the big one to be talked about as the greatest ever no going through and being a a couple of winning teams that don't break through or always on a losing team and be considered the best. Charles barkley, Karl Malone, dominque wilkens, hall a famers yes, best ever no. no payton manning syndrome in this leugue(if payton wins one he will be on the the best ever and yes klye i hated typing that)

8)There's always a chance a guy get's in a zone and takes over a game or a series and pulls his team of nobodies past a better team. Allen houston against the Heat in 98, Lebron vs the pistons this year(even though they lost he took it to seven games) Hakeem the dream in the playoffs the second championship. they were a 6th seed. This can't happen in football Payton needs a defense, Ray lewis needs an offense, can those guys get in the zone yes but win a game by themselves no, the only thing that comes close is a pitcher in baseball if he throws a shut out and then hits homerun when he bats. One guy beating five for no apparent reason other than he wants it more and he went to a place called on fire(this can happen at any level in basketball but much more excitting in NBA)

9)It's more personal, you can sit on the court we see faces, hair cuts, they're not hidden behind a cathers mask, hat, or a face mask. It's all there the emotion of winning, failing, pain i you have never seen a game live you won't understand this but i have seen all three major american sports live and basketball takes the cake jsut over football and way above baseball. I'm guessing soccer in europe is the same excpet you could die so i'll say more pressure filled

bonus reason we get to watch Lebron and Wade duke it out for the next ten years for eastern conference championship and if they ever swich leagues the nba champions ship it wil be larry vs. magic time 10. my prediction Heat over the cave this year in the conference finals in 7 games but it will be the last time wade gets the best of him for while becuase this is the last year Shaq gives him anything worht while
