Just call me a wandering no-mad

I have refrained from posting because i have been taking care of a number of official Flying Eagles business and all the new columns needed some time to breath on their own, as we have seen the blog reach an unseen popularity with 5 to 11 comments coming from all over the place. 2007 might not be the year of John but the Year of the Eagle. Just an FYI for Rott all the ballots have been calculated and Feb 1st will be the day I will be posting the Feb news letter with the results but if the news posted the preliminary results it's safe to say your boys are in and Flying Eagles and we have two new North Carolina Members, but I'm still waiting on the ballots from Florida. (bad Joke)

For everyone that doesn't know I'm back in Iowa, working in Cedar Falls and Cedar Rapids, hence the title. My tail from a short lived stint home is a tail to be told in person but let's just it's not psychically possible to be more poor than i was for about six months of my life. Not to say Ohio was a bad thing learned a lot about how the world works. And that my friends is turning a frown upside down. Here are ten things i found out in Ohio

1) Watching the Browns every Sunday sucks, it's way better to just check the highlights of loses on Sports center instead of wasting 3 hours and 8 to 10 beers getting my hopes up.

2) The old saying when it rains it pours, i believe now to be very true

3) Amazingly enough all debt is negotiable

4) Extremely rich people have a number of more rights than middle class, because they can just pay cash and move on with life. Poor people have it way better than middle class because people call for money and they can say get in line or they don't get the call because the phone has been turned off. Proving middle class life is like being a Canadian yeah life
is cool and all but it's very that high and never that low to get the heart racing.

5) I had the moment in my life where my mom finally said you turning into you loser uncles which made me feel pretty crappy

6) MY brother said he had that same moment at age 24 and then again at 26 with my mom which made me feel better

7) Lebron James when he decides to play basketball is the best player on the planet but the thing is i think he's bored, kind of like the kid who goes to MIT at age 15 and every one tells him this will be a challenge than he graduates in two and half years looks and says not that hard.

8)I found a hundred dollar bill on the floor of a bar, and got my flat tire fixed for free when i was most down on my luck proving Karma exists

9) I know what it's like to sleep at a rest stop in 20 degree weather all for the sake of a dream. (speaking of that making strides on the book front means the six month of struggling would be the main part on my VH1 special driven if i were to ever make past small potatoes)

10)The anxiety of having your gas light come on 25 miles from home and you have no money, not a credit card, no cash not even change in the ash tray or underneath the seat and you know when the light comes on you get between 20 to 30 miles. So you have to grin and sweat out the entire drive home going to your self if i run out ow i only have to walk 70 blocks home then 35, then 15, and the excitement builds as you get to single digits, then you are on your street and then when you peal your fingers off the steering wheel and you just take a deep breath and let the relief wash over you knowing you dodged the bullet. that relief right there, that moment before you open your door to go in, you are the calmest you are ever going to be in life.

Ohio, Iowa, Cleveland, Des Moines, Cedar Falls the sign off stays the same

Don't be a squirrel and pack that nut away for winter but share your story with the world

and every thing is a work in progress

Hey j.p. i've got a proposition for ya. Since my time on the internet is limited i was wondering if you would like delegation for a team in Vandelay Industries, the rhinomatics. We are a struggling franchise but with some tlc by the management i think the pieces are there. on another note, quite the find on the $100 bill, man that buys a lot of wild turkey.

A bulletin for the Iowa members:
Two short weeks ago I feared that my season of FESC flag football had ended before it had started. I had sharp pains in the back of my knee as a result of carrying boxes for 5 hours during a storage clean out project. I was in deep panic at the thought of season ending knee surgery (and having no insurance). I am happy to say that fear is behind me as i finish a week of physical therapy for a sprained ligament.

I kept this a secret, as I didnt want to attract the media attention before training camp began. However, I will be fully ready to roam the deep safety and snag any balls with the grip of an Eagle's talon!

If I'm in the secondary, you're Locked Down, Like Bobby Brown!
