The Eagle's Nest(flying eagles news letter) January 07

Happy New year to all Eagles, we hope you had a safe and fun fill holiday with family and Friends.

congratulations, praises, and members news

First we would like to congratulate David Derryberry of Lakewood Ohio on his induction into the flying Eagles. He was only new member of 06 not to be in the innogular class. He is a welcomed member to the club.

We would like to send a big thanks to Adam Richard Rottinghuas for his continued work growing the East coast chapter.

Also a congratulations is in order for one of are little eagles, Jordan Letzring who found himself placing in the Iowa state cross country meet. Even though cross country is kind of sissy sport.

The Flying Eagles will be starting practice for the flag football team this summer soon having a whoever can make it practice sometime in February please keep in touch for news on that.

We would like to Salute John, Braden, and Klye who have broaden the volunteer work of the flying Eagles to include being big brothers to two young men of Waterloo, Braden and Kyle social event that was free to the community to promote meeting new people and enjoying life (ie Free Keg) and John's assistant coaching a 5th and 6th grade basketball team. Please keep the head office informed of any volunteering, or charity work that is done. It should and will be recognized by the Flying Eagles.

Offical flying Eagle Matters
something we need to vote on.
first checking the archives their was a amendment to be voted on to be added to the stay in touch phone clause that never went to vote. It was purposed by Zach Letzring and now will get the attention it deserved.
Zach Letzing proposal
I have called Kyle I think 50 - 75 times without a return phone call so I would like to propose an amendment to the calling rule a point A if you will.
A. The person making the call and not getting a hold of said member can leave a message or not leave a message.
B. Leave a message the person should expect a 3 day call back
C. Do not leave a message the person should expect a week callback

Z. Letzring
Regional President Indianola/Hanover Chapter.

Klye Johnson who was charge with being a bad caller back responded with a change of Zach's proposal
Dear Mr. Ring,
That is a surefire way to get me kicked out Fesc. Therefore I cast a resounding nay. However, i understand the purpose and reasoning for such an amendment and would like to suggest more lenient guidelines. Such as 5 days and then a week and a half. I could live with that. I will, however, abide by the ruling of the ever judicious FESC.

You can either cast a vote for Zach's 3 days or week, or Kyles 5 days or week and half, or you can say no to both and keep as is.

2nd matter
New members
We have two members up for election from The East Coast Chapter. Adam Richard Rottinghuas put these young men up for election therefore will not be allowed to vote.
Justin (Jerstin) Crosby - My roommate, 27 years old, Artist, Professor, and Founder of Tennis and the Mennonites band. Pet owner, scotch drinker, and over all really good dude.

Brett Hartsfield - Co-Worker 26, Badass designer, reformed skateboarder, Engaged to a hotty - who gets superb marks from myself, both physically and personality. Beer lover, easy going Rural NC roots, make big city success story, over all really good dude.

On A-1 i vote for Kyle's counter offer of 5 days and a week.

A-2
I would say as long as they are on board with all the policies and regulations of the eagles club they are in.

A-3
I would love a website and beleive A. Rott should do us the honors of creating and upkeeping the website with the clause the blog stays open for constant ranting and updating.

A-4
Lets go for the Colbert Report after the website is up and I have the business cards and Letterhead and envelopes ready.

Other info to make note. Rott if you need the logo for the eagles i have it and can email it to you.
Whats in my ipod i have decided will be monthly feature 3 bands and will be posted on the 20th of every month including Jan. so this year in 2007 we will have 36 musical suggestions. Pretty nifty i'd say.

I cast my vote in favor of Zach's proposal...and wish to add an amendment to said proposal... "if a holder of a phone fails to retain a current account (perhaps after he hasnt paid his bill in 3 months...) he should post notification in a reasonable timeframe, so other members are aware of said situation.

i dont think i carry high enough rank to vote on the induction of new members.

a website would be sweet

Colbert as an honorary member would also be sweet

Note: Randumb 4 Prezident should appear towards the end of the month, allowing the ipod bit ample time for reader awareness.

The church is near, but the roads are icey...the bar is distant, so i shall walk carefully...

If you don't realize the difference between a laddle and a spoon, you must be fat.

I agree with zach's amendment in sentiment, but consider this; outside of kyle, is it necessary to have a written incentive to call back a fellow member? i agree to the proper phone conduct rule but am indifferent about its formalness (not sure if thats even a word). And i second that if your out of service, let us know.

On the second notion, I check yes to both. I've heard good things from about these cats from the east and MAYBE... just maybe some sweet and glorious day, the uncle dannies and the tennis and the mennonites could get together for a little jam session. That would have all the social signifigance of woodstock, with out the acid.

Right on with the website and ditto to keeping the blog open.

Fourth. I vote colbert in. He seems like a cool guy and FESC's publicity would be en fuego.
the business cards are an interesting adverstisement for FESC. Movin on up!
Increase the Peace
and happy belated MLK day to you all

JIM
